As the saying goes, people are “Three parts appearance, seven parts make up”. Indoor steel doors are in the same way, “ Three parts quality, seven parts installation”. This shows the importance of installation. The quality of installation determines the good or bad use of the steel doors.
To install steel doors, we have to prevent the following 4 problems below;
1. PREVENT THE GAPS OR SLITS FROM BEING TOO BIG OR TOO SMALL.
The temperature differs in different regions. So we have to make reasonable adjustments according to the actual situation of a particular place to suit the gaps between the door leaf, door frame and archway.
Do not cause too much gaps due to contraction as this not only makes the interior of the door not to be soundproof but can also result in a loose door frame. If the gaps are too tight on the other hand, it can cause friction between the door leaf and the floor and also between the door leaf and the frame.
2. PAY ATTENTION TO UNEVEN GROUND.
Uneven ground will lead to scratching of the lower parts of the steel doors. Thus during installation, attention must be paid specially to the hanging feet between the door leaf and the ground.
The hanging feet generally should be about 1.5cm above ground. But it can be 1cm when installing in the house.
3. DO NOT USE ONLY A WOODEN TIP TO FIX THE DOOR FRAME.
Also use a fixed metal plate to fix the door frame. The door frame and the archway must be fixed through a wooden tip. Many qualified makers in order to simplify things, generally do not use a fixed metal plate to fix the door frame. They think it can be held in place by applying swelling plastic(Styrofoam). To simply put, this can cause the door frame and the wall to be loose.
4. USE VERTICAL LINES TO KEEP THE DOOR LEAF VERTICAL.
Be sure to hang vertical lines when hanging the door leaf. Tools are advance that can be used for this purpose. Infrared vertical lines can also be used. This way, the door can appear more pleasant to the eye. Also there would not be friction or scratching between the ground and door leaf or between the frame and door leaf.
